Claire’s Baby Diary #12

So, here we are again at 7 and a half months!! Where did that go?!

Elsie, my beautfiul baby girl, now has her first tooth. We didn’t even know she was teething. Obviously we had the signs, constant dribbling and everything going into her mouth but it wasn’t until I thought I’d chance it and have a feel of her gums that I felt her first tooth starting to come through. It didn’t bother her at all!! Hopefully, the rest of her teeth will come through without any problems.

She’s also just started waving at people. I’m not quite sure she knows what it is that she is doing but she does it and she also gives us kisses…well, kind of licks or dribbles on your face if you ask her for a kiss and put your face in front of her. She’s so funny. She babbles away to us and because we talk back to her I’m sure she thinks we’re having a proper conversation. I’m always talking to her and singing silly songs.

She’s been ill once since my last entry. I’d had a bad cold for over a week and it was obvoious that she would catch it…which she did and she also had an ear infection which was horrible. She was constantly crying unless she was asleep which was horrible. Once the medication kicked in she was OK but it was a horrible few days, especially before we knew what it was.

We’re taking her for her first trip to the seaside in a couple of weeks to celebrate my first birthday as a mummy which we’re looking forward to.

I’m absolutely loving being a mummy and we really are very lucky in the fact that Elsie is such a good and happy baby. I know most parents say that in a biased kind of way but she really is. Everyone tells us how happy she is.
I won’t lie and say that it’s easy, running two business’s, a home as well as looking after a baby is not by any means easy but somehow we do it.
